The family of Emma Godfrey wish to announce that she passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, at age 91 years.
Emma was a long time resident of The Pas, and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Emma was a proudly independent woman who managed her own affairs and health issues for as long as she possibly could. She lived the last two years of her life in the caring and safe residence of Tuxedo Villa.
Emma always gave what she could to people in need and kindly donated to charity and hoped that others will do the same. Emma will be laid to rest in the presence of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren on May 11, 2026, at Brookside Cemetery. There will be no service at her request. Emma’s family will always cherish the memories of the time they had with her and as we say goodbye, we will hold her in our thoughts and hearts forever. The family is grateful for the support that others gave Emma when she needed it and we extend our gratitude to the caring people at Tuxedo Villa, Opaskwayak Cree Nation, and Bardal Funeral Home.
